MUSLIM MAN PRAYS AT THE ENTRANCE OF A CHURCH, SHOULD CHRISTIANS TOLERATE THIS?

This incident happened at Ogbomoso and the church is directly opposite the LAUTECH College of Health Sciences

I caught this Muslim man observing his prayer at the Corridor of our church; right at the entrance, the door of the Church. I snapped him and moved away. I didn't interrupt his prayer. My secretary only asked him if he knew he was doing that by the door of a church. He didn't even see it as anything serious. What tolerance do we preach by stoning and burning Deborah?"

The question in my heart is can I stand to pray in Jesus' name in the Corridor of a mosque in Kaduna without being stoned to death?

Rev. Fr. Kelvin Oselumhese Anetor's view

We can only speculate here. It's possible this Muslim came to the Church because he felt that it was the most sacred place to pray in that environment.

It's also possible he came there because he knew no one would drive him off. He also must have known that Christians are highly tolerant.

I doubt that he came to the entrance of the Church just to make trouble. He must have seen that the Church doors were closed and his prayers would disturb no one.

But the question remains, can a Christian do the same in the core North in front of a Mosque?

What do you think, should Christians tolerate this?

  1. My guess is he probably felt it was a safe and or sacred place as Father said. If it was blocking the entrance for others, especially before mass, then he could be told that and asked to relocate. If he was worshipping Satan, then yes, obviously he needs to be removed. I am curious as to why the location of the school is mentioned.
But We should never treat someone one way because we “know” we would be treated a certain way in return. That’s where the world is broken in one of many places.
