A Catholic Priest, working in the Diocese of Lokoja, Rev. Fr. Christopher Onotu, was reportedly kidnapped in the Parish House.

Fr. Christopher is the Pastor of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Obangede, Okene, in Kogi State.

According to reports, the gunmen invaded the church at about 9pm on Saturday June 4, burgled through the Window of the Parish House to the Priest’s bedroom and whisked him away.

Report also has it that the Priest's Car and SIM Cards were also taken but his two Phones were left behind.

The Kidnappers are yet to make contacts and efforts to reach Police DSP William Ovye Aya, the Spokesperson for the Kogi State Police Command, proved abortive, as his lines were not going through.
